Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving we celebrated in Illinois with my Grandma Smith in Wheaton. We all went to her nursing home for a delicious buffet. In addition to our immediate family, we celebrated with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Judy and my Aunt Colette. The boys enjoyed seeing their Great Grandma--and she always lights up when they are around. She's doing well at the ripe old age of 94! The day after Thanksgiving, Mike and I traveled to Iowa City for Alison Meisner's wedding. It was an amazing weekend for one amazing bride and groom. I had the honor of singing in the ceremony and Mike and I both loved having some "couple" time. It was one of the first times we'd left both boys. They of course, did fine and enjoyed their extra special Mimi and Bubba time. I still get teary thinking of my beautiful Ali--she and Jon are meant to be and their families are such fun too. A great Thanksgiving for all!

Ready for the big day--with my Ethan created Turkey Hat!
