Karate

Colin takes karate on Friday afternoons and has for several months now. It's such a fun sport for him and a great fit for his temperament. We love that it's teaching him discipline as well... now if we can just get him to stop posing in the mirrors we'll be set! (His coach has already almost cleared up this habit!) Students in Colin's class have to earn their "Gi" and their initial belts. Students have to have completed a certain number of classes to be able to wear the white and Colin had been talking about this for weeks and weeks. Finally, on November 14th, he received the gi and his red belt. Fortunately, Grammie was able to see this too! He was so proud he looked like he would burst out of his skin. His coach does an amazing job in instilling respect for students and made sure this ceremony was special. If Colin were writing this now, he'd tell you that he's up for a new belt with a stripe!
