Turkey Day 2007

Grammie and Pop arrived Tuesday night to kick off the celebration. Wednesday was spent playing and on the big day Mike cooked a huge feast. We all ate our fill and then some. Jessie was thrilled to finally bust out the official wedding china, Ethan couldn't get enough mashed potatoes, Mike got his Andes mint pie (with belated birthday candles), Colin loved the rolls, Grammie's favorite was the cornbread stuffing with fresh cranberries, and Pop loved it all. We watched the parade, Colin and Pop played in the first official snowfall, we sat around the fire, and went to sleep early and very very happy.

Boys on the Move

Colin and Ethan have been busy these last few weeks, spending as much time outside as they can. We're thrilled that Ethan, despite his hypotonia, is progressing with his therapy better than anticipated. He even was able to push himself on the orange jeep across the driveway! He's begun to take steps while holding onto his walker, and in the last few days, his been walking while holding onto our fingers. Exceeding expectations indeed.

Mike is 32!

Mike successfully made it though another birthday on Nov. 17th. Colin helped to get the surprises set out--complete with the official Red Plate. He was able to keep Mike's gift of new pots and pans a surprise, but couldn't help but telling Mike he was getting "a lot of chocolate" before he even opened that present. We spent a leisurely morning and then celebrated with brunch at our favorite Minneapolis breakfast locale, Sunny Side Up. And perhaps the most fun of all, was the photo collage taped to our front window, provided by our neighbors Nick & Jess. They'd held onto the classic Mike Dugan high school photo since early summer when they stole it from our refrigerator. Hysterical.

Rooting on the Red Sox

Some of you may know that after four years in Boston, we became official members of Red Sox Nation. A few pictures showing our support in their race to win the World Series. Thanks Greg for our fabulous new gear... Mike swears it was the Varitek and green hat combo that sent the vibes around the country!

Halloween '07

Although this is "late" here are a few pictures from Halloween, a cool and windy night. Colin, after much debate, decided to be his favorite superhero, the "good Spiderman" (not to be confused with the black suited "bad Spiderman"). Ethan, after too quickly outgrowing his Batman costme, happily suited up as Tigger. They both had a wonderful time.
